Based in South Queensland, James has been into art for more than 45 years and is also a singer-songwriter of rock ballads & the blues, and has written 2700 poems.

James paints on canvas using both oils and acrylics, depending on the piece.

Inspired in art by Jackson Pollock, Picasso, and Australian aboriginal dot art, his musical heroes Mark Knopfler, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul Kelly.

James started learning guitar in 1982.

James later added vocals, piano, keyboards, bass & harmonica (blues harp) to his musical skills.
